The main benefit of this type of steel is its <strong>high capacity for hardening<\/strong>, in particular its <strong>hard structure<\/strong> (its grade depends on the amount of carbon), which is brittle and magnetic.  However, the level of resistance and hardness desired <strong>can be manipulated by means of its composition<\/strong>.  Another peculiarity of martensitic steel is its <strong>relatively low resistance to corrosion<\/strong> by comparison to other stainless steels. <\/p>\n<p>Martensitic steel <strong>hardens under heat treatment<\/strong>, through cooling by immersion and tempering.  This process results in improved resistance and ductility.  This type of steel <strong>can be used hardened and tempered if only a resistance level that is limited to corrosion<\/strong> or to other incrustations at somewhat high temperatures is required.  However, a <strong>higher degree of resistance to corrosion is achieved at low temperature<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"gap\" style=\"height: 20px;\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"title\"><span>Sectors and Parts in which martensitic steel is relevant:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Martensitic steel <\/strong>is one of the main materials used in the <strong>energy and food industries<\/strong>.
